Description
Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Charleston, South Carolina
- Day shift: 4x10s, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
Schedule and Work Expectations
- On-call required: up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
- Weekend requirement: up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
- Must work at least one holiday period
- May be asked to float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Radiation badge
- Scrub experience strongly preferred
- Level I trauma experience
Unit and Role Details
- Operating room setting in a level-one academic trauma center
- RN staff are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
- Surgical specialties include trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics
Additional Notes
- EPIC charting
- Parking permit requires a $20 registration fee for a garage hang tag
- Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response team duties from June through November
