Step Down Registered Nurse
Location
- Charlottesville, Virginia
Assignment Details
- Travel/contract position
- 13 weeks
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Can approve 40 hours for time off
Unit Overview
- 12-bed intermediate-level unit using critical care and neuroscience principles
- Common patient populations include neuro ICU transfers, neuro trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, ENT cancer post-op tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-op spine patients, and other neurological conditions
- Patient ratio: 1:3
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- 1 year of stepdown experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
