Overview

• Travel/contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• Day/night only
• 36 hours per week
• 16-week contract

Unit Details

• Mixed acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients
• Approx. 24 PCU beds and 24 MS Tele beds
• High-acuity patient population
• Pediatric patients are extremely rare and are not expected to be cared for by agency RN staff
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Schedule

• If scheduled on a 12-hour day/night rotating contract, shifts may be days, nights, or a combination depending on department needs
• Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period and are not guaranteed to change
• Weekend shifts are variable

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
• Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Oncology experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience is preferred, not required

Additional Notes

• Chemotherapy competence is not required, but training may be provided if interested
• Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5 but may vary based on unit needs
