Overview

• Travel RN role in Interventional Radiology
• Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 5x8
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
• Call: Yes, on rotation
• Weekend hours: As needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Interventional Radiology (2 years of experience)
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• Driver's License

Preferred

• Certification with ARNA

Unit Details

• Floor: Interventional Radiology
• Patient mix: invasive and non-invasive procedures in IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic
• Patient ratio: 1:1 in Imaging
• Beds/areas: 1 IR angiosuite and 5 IR holding area beds
• Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Imaging department
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs
• Maintain IV lines and IV skills
• Administer first aid and medications under physician direction
• Assist with procedures in the Imaging department
• Maintain emergency equipment, supplies, and crash cart/drug reaction kit inventory
• Document patient records and communicate adverse changes or care issues
• Coordinate Imaging policy/procedure changes affecting patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide hospitality, courtesy, and compassion

• Surgical scrubs provided for the procedure area
• Street clothes are not acceptable
