Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Surgical Services
Location: Modesto, California
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 6:45–17:15
Hours per week: 40
Call required: 4 hours, 2x/week
Opening exists to backfill staffing needs

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
CST
Experience with cataract surgery
Experience with ENT (ear, nose, throat) procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions

Additional Requirements

7-year background check required within 6 months of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM required
HHS/OIG required
FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and monthly after start
California Medi-Cal Search Result required only if monthly FACIS III cannot be run
Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start
State license verification required within 30 days of start
Tech Cert Verification - National required within 30 days of start
Unit-specific skills checklist required
Full 7 years of work history required in the application, with no gaps
Employment history verification required for up to 7 years
References required by the staffing process
Physical exam required within 1 year of start
Fit mask required within 1 year of start
TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start
Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 90 days of start
Drug screen required within 6 months of start
Tdap required within 10 years of start
Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
Color blind exam required before start
Respiratory safety clearance required before start
