RN – Ortho

Role Overview

• RN role in the Med Surg Ortho unit
• 4 openings
• Nights, 1900-0700
• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Assignment length: 13-26 weeks
• Local contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• 1 year of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Driver's License
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Ability to operate EKG machine

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC experience

Schedule and Float

• Weekend hours as required by facility/every other weekend
• No call
• Must be able to float throughout Med Surg as needed
• Night shift orients on day shift
• Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation

Unit Details

• 18 beds
• Unit expansion
• Standard nursing equipment on MS Ortho unit
• Focuses on post-surgical patients with an emphasis on orthopedic procedures
• Patient care for all age groups

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; exemptions must be client approved
• Black scrubs
• Auto-offer position
