Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Preferred / Considered

• Charge Nurse experience
• Cath lab/IR Tech experience
• Candidates who do not scrub will be considered

Unit Details

• Cath Lab unit
• 2 suites/labs
• 2 beds
• Average volume: 8 cases per day
• Cerner used for EMR/equipment

Schedule / Call

• Weekend call required for RN; minimally every other weekend from Friday 1530 to Monday 0700
• Call required for RN and Techs
• Average call days, including weekends, is 12 and can range up to 18 depending on staffing
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Holidays: call required on a rotating basis

Clinical Scope

• All cardiac invasive procedures, minus structural heart
• Peripheral procedures
• Carotid
• A/V grafts
• EVAR
• Peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
• No “dirty” procedures such as pegs, g tubes, nephew tubes

• RT 24/7: yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: yes
• Floating: no
• Floor orientation: 1 or 2 shifts depending on skill level
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year
• 2 supervisor references required at submittal; one within 12 months and one within 3 years worked
