Med Surg RN - Urology/Nephrology

Role Overview

Travel/Contract RN position in a 25-bed Med Surg unit with an average daily census of 23.
Day shift: 0645-1915.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
First-time travelers accepted.
Will float to other Medical Surgical units.
Works every other weekend.
Locals accepted with no radius.
Block scheduling will be tried but is not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including 2 years of experience.
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
Experience working with cardiac patients.
Experience working with urinary patients.
Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management.
Experience with blood product administration.
Phlebotomy skills.
Experience with PICC lines.
IV insertion skills.
Experience with heparin.
Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac).
Experience with CPAP.
Experience with Cerner.

Preferred

None stated.

Additional Notes

On-call is not required.
Pending Illinois license is not accepted.
RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
Any solid color scrubs are allowed.
Parking permit is required at no cost.
