Job Description

Role: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech
Daily Caseload: 6-8 procedures per employee
Rooms Available: 9
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
First-timers Accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday (0800-1600)
On-call Requirement: Yes
- Weeknight call from 1600-0730
- Weekend call from Friday 1600 through Monday 0730
Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of care
Local Candidates: Not accepted (75 miles radius rule)

Special Requirements

Procedures: Includes central venous catheter placements, diagnostic angiograms, Y-90 mappings/treatments, gastrostomy tubes, and other vascular-related procedures.
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (R) required; ARRT VI preferred
- C-Arm and Contrast experience required

Certifications and Documentation

Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- IV Certification (for LPNs/LVNs in Missouri)
- Other unit-specific certifications as applicable
Health Documents:
- TB Questionnaire
- Fit Mask documentation
- Tdap vaccination or declination
- Drug Testing
- Flu vaccination documentation
Background Checks: Required within 6 months of start, including statewide searches and education verification.

References

Professional References: Two required, preferably from supervisors within the last year.
