Physical Therapist Travel Position
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Facility: Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center
Hospital System: HCA Healthcare (Parent)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Methodist Stone Oak Rehab, 2nd Floor
- Number of Beds: 39
- Staffing:
- Physical Therapists: 9 Full-Time, 2 Part-Time, 9 PRN
- Collaboration with PT/OT partners for consistent patient care
- Shift: Day shift with rotating weekends
- Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 patients per day

Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Physical Therapy
- Physical Therapy License issued by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE), Texas State Board
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in acute or inpatient rehab physical therapy setting
Typical Responsibilities
- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within scope of practice
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status
- Participate in development of total plan of care
- Deliver skilled therapeutic care consistent with physician’s plan of care
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapies, exercises, and use of therapeutic appliances or prosthetic devices
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments/handoffs

- Floating: May float to other Methodist Inpatient Rehab Facilities if needed
- Weekends: Minimum of 2 weekend days required per schedule period
- Orientation to unit policies and guidelines provided at start
