Labor & Delivery Nurse Opportunity

Location: Blanding, Utah
Facility: Blue Mountain Hospital

Position Details

Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (6pm - 6am)
Unit: L&D / Mother-Baby (MM) / Postpartum (PP) / OB
Average Births: 120-130 per year
Beds:
- L&D Beds: 3
- Postpartum Beds: In-room with 2 overflow rooms
Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to MedSurg (non-negotiable)

Required Certifications & Licenses

Active Utah RN license
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Work Environment & Resources

Fetal Heart Monitoring System: PeriCalm
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Athena
Nurse Aides/OB Tech: CNA shared between MedSurg and L&D
Scrub Color: Any solid color allowed
OB/Neonatologist: No in-house OB/Neonatologist; family practice coverage only
Respiratory Therapist: Not 24/7; CRNA utilized if needed
Pharmacy: On-call pharmacy available

This role is ideal for an experienced OB nurse comfortable with Labor & Delivery and postpartum care, who is flexible to assist on MedSurg as needed.
