Cath Lab Tech Opportunity

Location: Northridge, California
Facility: Northridge Hospital Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech for a travel contract. Candidates must have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, ARRT certifications
• Valid California license

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• ARRT
• BLS
• PALS (required)

Unit Details

• Unit: Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Number of suites/labs: 4
• Average cases per year: ~1200 (very busy cath lab)
• EMR system: Cerner
• Charge Nurse present
• Cath Lab/IR Tech team available

Call and Shift Requirements

• Weekend call required every other weekend for both RNs and Techs (Friday off shift through Monday 7am)
• Weekday call required approximately 14-15 days per 4-week period for both RNs and Techs
• Holiday call required based on department needs
• Shifts: Variable 8-hour shifts for Techs (possible consideration for 10 or 12-hour shifts)
• Floating: No
• Floor-specific orientation: 1 shift

Equipment and Support

• Telemetry: GE Spacelabs
• Ventilators: No
• Cardiologist on call 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• IV Team: No

Common Procedures and Skills Required

• Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Cath Lab procedures (left and right heart interventional and diagnostic, implants, pacers)
• Electrophysiology (EP) studies, diagnostics, ablations (preferred)
• Neuro cases including cerebral aneurysms, thrombectomies, coils (increasing volume)
• Trauma and STEMI cases

Additional Notes

• Travel experience preferred
• Scrub color provided
• 8-hour day shifts with call responsibilities

This role is ideal for Cath Lab Techs with a broad skill set across IR, cath lab, neuro, and EP who are comfortable with a busy, high-volume environment and call requirements.
