Travel RN Opportunity - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: San Jose, California
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Number of Beds: 10
- Number of Staff: 120
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters, Unit Clerk, Scrub Tech (staffing varies by patient census)
- Night Shift: Similar staffing as day shift
- Patient Ratios: Per California Title 22 regulations
- Typical Procedures: Deliveries, C-sections, other L&D or related cases
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years in nursing
- Licenses: California Registered Nurse License required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Resume: Required at submission
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Skills: Candidates without required certifications and licenses will not be considered
- Personality: Team player
- Dress Code: Scrubs (specific color/attire details not provided)
- Work Schedule: Rotating weekends based on Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
- Additional Notes: Floating within the unit as needed
