Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Pomona, California

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (first-timers accepted)
- Shift Requirements:
- Weekend requirement: 2 weekends every 6 weeks (night shift weekends may include Fridays)
- No on-call required
- No floating outside scope of practice
- No block scheduling accommodation
- Ratios: 1:2 patient ratio
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (client may cancel up to 3 shifts during assignment)
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- AWHONN Advanced
- NRP Advanced (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - must include all 11 components, updated every 2 years
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) - AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring only, renewed every 2 years
Special Requirements
- Ability and experience with vaginal exams
- Baby care experience
- Experience with at least 300 births

Certifications & Licenses
- Current professional state license (primary source verification required within 30 days of start)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) for applicable units
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred for some units
- CCRN and TNCC preferred for ER and critical care roles
- Tech certifications as applicable
- Annual competency exams (medication/pharmacology and general competency) with minimum 80% score
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months clearing employee to work without restrictions
- Fit mask testing prior to start (specific approved masks required)
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, TB test or chest X-ray, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Hepatitis C
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (annual renewal for travel and per diem)
- Flu and COVID-19 seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination forms (with mask-wearing requirements if declined)
Background and History
- Background check covering last 7 years, including social security address check for last 15 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
- Two professional references required (one must be from most recent experience)
- Complete 15 years of work history on application
- Education verification required
