Unit: 2F Med Surg (Stroke and Neuro Designated Unit)
Unit Information
- Location: CJW Chippenham Hospital, 2nd Floor Front, Main Hospital Building
- Number of Beds: 34 (max capacity 43 patients)
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, 1 unit secretary (at max capacity)
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, 1 unit secretary (at max capacity)
- Patient Ratios: 5:1
- Equipment: Remote telemonitoring
- EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures & Unit Focus
- General medical-surgical care
- Stroke and neuro patient care
Required Skills & Certifications
- Must Have: BLS certification
- Preferred: NIH Stroke certification, ACLS certification

- Upbeat, engaged, and compassionate personality
- Comfortable working in a stroke and neuro designated unit
