Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Specialist
Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Facility: WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital
Hospital System: Bingham Memorial Hospital - Locums
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Seeking a candidate with experience in EP (Electrophysiology) device implants.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
- Call Requirements: 12 shifts per month, including call every third weekend.
- Holidays: As needed.
- Floating: Not required.
- May care for COVID-19 patients.
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications required:
- RT(R), CVT, or RCIS
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- EPIC experience required.
Time Off / Return to Office
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days.
- No weekend shifts required outside of call schedule.
Required Documentation & Compliance
Identification & Background
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
- I9 or attestation form.
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually.
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start, renewed every 5 years.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 5 years of start, renewed every 5 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
- Two professional references within 3 years.
- Most recent resume or employment application.
- Education verification (degree, diploma, or transcripts).
Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS, BLS (Basic Life Support), and other certifications as applicable.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health.
- State license verification and NURSYS verification for applicable roles.
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health.
Health & Immunizations
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD/DO/NP/PA.
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Hepatitis B (full vaccine series or positive titer plus declination form)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray if positive.
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted.
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only).
- Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year, renewed annually.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge.
- Completion and signing of WellSpan Health documents including:
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Hepatitis B Declination (if applicable)
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
- Completion of WellSpan Learning Management System (LMS) modules for RNs and CNAs prior to start.
- New Hire Orientation required by end of first day.
Additional Notes
- Candidates will be clinically screened for fit and must meet WellSpan guidelines before manager interview.
- Fingerprinting results can be pending at start but must be finalized within 45 days or the candidate will be removed from the floor.
- The facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates should be notified prior to submission.
This position offers a structured schedule with a focus on EP device implant experience and requires compliance with extensive credentialing, health, and background documentation consistent with WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital policies.
