Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Facility: Cleveland Medical Center
Hospital System: University Hospitals
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • American Heart Association only
    • Required for clinical positions
  • License/Certificate Verification
    • Valid permanent RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
    • Primary source verification within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • American Heart Association only
    • Optional but preferred

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • COVID-19 Vaccine
    • Proof of vaccine series or approved medical/religious exemption preferred but not required
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Positive titers within last 15 years required
    • Booster protocol applies if low titer
  • Varicella
    • Positive titers within last 15 years required
    • Booster protocol applies if low titer
  • Hepatitis B
    • Proof of full series, partial series with signed declination, or positive titers within 15 years
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
    • Proof of vaccination within past 10 years required (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza Vaccine
    • Required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or approved medical/religious exemption
  • 2-Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
    • Negative test within last 6 months required
    • If positive, clear chest x-ray (within 5 years) and current TB questionnaire required
  • Positive PPD
    • Negative chest x-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Fit Test
    • Completed within 1 year of start, updated annually
    • Specific approved respirator models required
  • Physical/Health Statement
    • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions

Professional Requirements

  • Background Checks & Verifications:
    • Criminal Background Check (within 6 months) including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal sweep
    • Ohio Fingerprints (BCI&I check) and FCRA-compliant National Database Criminal background check
    • Social Security Trace (if not included in background check)
    • National Sex Offender (NSO) check (if not included in background check)
    • OIG Search (Office of Inspector General) within 6 months
    • SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months
  • Education Verification
    • Highest level of education verified; international education requires equivalency documentation
  • Employment Verification
    • Verification of employment within last 5 years through third-party verification
  • UHS I-9 Attestation
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required
  • Drug Screen
    • 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (no instant tests; lab report required)
  • Competency Exams
    • Must score at least 80% on relevant department competency exams within 1 year prior to start
  • Core Competencies
    • HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics; 80% passing score required; completed within 1 year prior to start
  • Skills Checklist
    • Clinical skill-specific checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (initial hire only)
  • UHS Module Completion Certificate
    • Safety and compliance training modules must be completed prior to clearance
  • Driver's License/State ID
    • Non-expired photo ID required
