CT Tech Travel Position - Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Overview

Contract Length

• Duration: 26 weeks

Required Certifications and Licensure

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRA)
• ARRT(CT) registry
• Missouri Radiologic Technologist License

Experience

• 1-2+ years working in Emergency Department setting
• Experience with trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion preferred

Unit and Equipment

• Department: Radiology
• Equipment: GE Revolution (256 slices) newest platform and Siemens CT scanners
• EMR System: EPIC
• Patient Population: Emergency Department patients including trauma, stroke, CTA, and perfusion cases

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist
• Use independent judgment and initiative to obtain optimal image quality
• Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging, including anatomical positioning and technical factor adjustments
• Prioritize patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort
• Manipulate patient transfer equipment and assist with patient movement
• Recognize emergency situations and adapt to a fast-paced workload
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to manipulate patient and transfer equipment
• Capable of continual standing and walking during shifts
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to recognize emergency situations
• Preferred: Knowledge of CTA and perfusion imaging

Education

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Fast-paced emergency department setting
• Requires physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and moving patients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
