Description
Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology/Cardiology)
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Facility: Anne Arundel Medical Center (Luminis Health)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years current experience as a CT Technologist
- BLC and AART certifications required
- Maryland state license required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ICU, NCU, ED, Heart & Vascular, Observation, PCU/Telemetry, and Flex units. Not required for Labor & Delivery. AHA or ARC accepted. RQI certification accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all units except Pharmacy. Preferred for Lab Techs. AHA or ARC accepted.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for Pediatric units and Pediatric ED. Not required for RT and IR.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby Units. Must be Advanced Provider Certification through AAP.
- State License Verification: Primary source verification required.
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all units except Cath Lab, OR, Mother Baby Unit, and Labor & Delivery. Must be updated annually.
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for all RNs)
- Color Blind Testing (within 12 months of start)
- Competency Exam (required for all units except Social Workers; updated annually)
Health and Facility Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 12 months of start; new exam required if break in service exceeds 30 days.
- Fit Mask Test: N95 fit test within past 12 months required prior to start. PAPR training available if approved.
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or positive titer with medical exemption.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Two vaccines or positive titer; low titer requires boosters.
- Hepatitis B: Series, positive titer, or signed declination.
- Varicella: Two vaccines or positive titer; low titer requires boosters.
- TB Testing: Qgold or Tspot within past 12 months; PPD no longer accepted. New test required if break in service >30 days. TB questionnaire must be completed prior to start and updated annually.
- Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen (excluding marijuana) within 30 days of start. Dilute or low creatinine tests not accepted.
- Flu Vaccination: Required for flu season (October–March). Declinations not accepted; medical or religious exemptions require approval.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: No longer mandated as of 12/28/2023; vaccines or exemptions still tracked.
Background and Compliance
- Background Check: 7-year criminal history check within past year, updated annually.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG Checks: Required within 30 days of start and updated with each contract renewal.
- References: Two references required within 2 years from supervisors or above. One charge person reference allowed temporarily with 30-day window to obtain supervisor reference.
- Employment Application: Complete application/resume required.
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units.

- Passport-style photo with neutral background required for badge.
- All certifications, health documents, and background checks must comply with Luminis Health and facility-specific policies.
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists who meet the certification and licensing requirements and are prepared to comply with comprehensive health and background screening protocols.
