Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Location: Sky Ridge Medical Center, Lone Tree, CO
Facility: HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge CO
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Beds: 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 L&D ORs
Staffing:
- Day Shift: ~1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST
Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1; 1:1 for complicated patients
Equipment: FHR monitors (Novii and GE), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes)
EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of Labor & Delivery experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
ACLS and ALS preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Mom/Baby care, Pediatrics, and/or NICU

Typical Procedures

Vaginal deliveries
C-section deliveries
Nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Directing and coordinating nursing care for labor & delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients
