Position Details

    • Weeknight call: 5:15 PM - 6:30 AM (Monday-Friday)
    • Weekend call: 6:30 AM Saturday or Sunday to 6:30 AM next day
    • Typical call frequency: 4-5 weeknights + 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Floating: Yes, between Belleville and Shiloh campuses as needed (within scope)
• Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days within 13-week contract
• Primary Work Location: Belleville campus (call only at Belleville)

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be able to independently scrub multiple service lines
• Strong cardiac OR competency required with quick independence after orientation
• Experience preferred in:

  • Endovascular/hybrid
  • Neuro-spine
  • ENT
  • Orthopedics
  • Robotic specialties
• Ability to function as both scrub and circulator preferred (circulator/scrub combo favored)

Certifications & Licensure

• Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • Illinois RN license (permanent license required; no pending licenses accepted)
• Preferred:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)
• Must meet all BJC HealthCare credentialing and compliance requirements
