Unit Information

• Unit: 6E Ortho/Neuro/Peds
• Beds: 30 (potential to increase to 36)
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 Clinical Coordinator, 5 RNs, 2 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift: 5 RNs, 2 Techs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, SCDs
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills & Certifications

• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in RN specialty
• Must Have: Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills

• PALS certification or ability to care for pediatric patients
• Familiarity with post-op orthopedic care

Typical Procedures

• Post-op orthopedic and spine surgical patient care
• Care for podiatry patients
