Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina


Facility Overview

  • Large hospital licensed for 815 beds
  • Recognized nationally for clinical quality and patient safety
  • Holds Magnet® Designation for nursing excellence
  • Regional referral center with:
    • Level II trauma center
    • Comprehensive stroke center
    • Level III neonatal intensive care unit
    • Only children’s hospital in the region with pediatric emergency room and 30 pediatric subspecialists
  • Busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas
  • Only open heart and interventional cardiology services in the region
  • Earned a three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for patient care and outcomes

Contract Length

  • Approximately 26 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: All Units (Main Campus)
  • Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 40 patients
  • Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability
  • Documentation systems used: CERNER, NATE, ENSOCARE (post-acute systems)
  • Scheduling: Self-schedule
  • Floating policy: Float where needed
  • Dress code: Business attire

  • Ability to work collaboratively with RN Case Manager (RNCM)
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to shift attention between tasks effectively
  • Ability to build trust with team members, patients, and families
