Travel RN - Emergency Department (ER FSED)
Location: Round Rock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: None
Weekend Schedule: Rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks)
Unit Overview
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 35
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 1 PCT, 1 Medic, 1 US
- Mid Shift: 2 (11-11), 2 (1-1), 1 (3-3)
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 1 PCT, 1 Medic, 1 US
- Patient Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1
- EMR System: Meditech
- Permanent Positions Available: No
Required Qualifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Typical Procedures Performed
- Trauma care
- Stroke management
- STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) care
- Moderate sedation
Work Environment & Culture
- High-energy environment, fast-paced, nurses who like to stay busy are a good fit
- Dress Code:
- RNs wear navy scrubs
- PCT and US wear tan tops with black bottoms
Additional Information
- No call requirements
- Rotating weekends with 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
- Unit is equipped with current technology and uses Meditech EMR
- No permanent positions currently available on the unit
