Travel RN - Endoscopy Unit (Wichita, Kansas)

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy
Employment Type: Travel
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Shift: Day shift only (7 AM - 5 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Endoscopy (Unit 73310)
Beds: 9
Staffing: 11 full/part-time RNs, 2 PRN; typically 6-7 RNs and 2 techs per day
Patient Ratios:
- Intra-op team: 2 RNs per 1 patient
- Pre/post-op: 1 RN per 2 patients
Equipment: Olympus endoscopes and reprocessors
EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Must Have:
- Endoscopy experience (circulate and tech procedures)
Preferred:
- Pre/post-op experience
- Experience with Olympus scopes and reprocessors
Typical Procedures:
- EGD/Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- EUS
- EBUS (and variations)

Work Environment and Expectations

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Works well as part of an intraoperative team
Staff perform both basic and interventional/therapeutic procedures on high-acuity patients alongside highly specialized physicians

Additional Information

Call Requirements: Take call 1 night per week and every 4th to 6th weekend
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
Licenses Required: Registered Nurse License
