Position Details

Unit Information
- Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women’s Surgical
- Number of Beds: 24
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
- Equipment: Standard unit equipment
- EMR System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certifications: BLS and Chemo Certification required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
Typical Procedures on Unit
- Occasional pelvic exams
- Echocardiograms (Echo)
- Thoracentesis
Work Environment & Expectations
- Team-oriented, willing to learn
- Dress Code: RNs wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors
- Floating: Rarely floats; may float to other med-surg units
- Weekend Requirement: Staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
- Call: Rare call
