Registered Nurse (RN) - Peritoneal Dialysis Training

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary (Traveler)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assist in training patients to perform peritoneal dialysis independently at home.
• Manage current patients performing peritoneal dialysis at home.
• Position based out of Pittsfield unit, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Must be willing to travel to patient homes as needed.
• Mileage reimbursed for home health travel.
• Holiday coverage required: Travelers must work two of the following holiday periods:

  • Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the Friday/weekend after
• Extensions ending in November or before December holidays will not be considered for extension into 2026.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of current nursing experience.
• Baxter AMIA Peritoneal Cycler experience strongly preferred.
• Must have own vehicle with current insurance and a clean driving record.
• Must include permanent address in profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of facility will not be considered).
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of profile submission; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; no scheduling changes after offer.
• Work history and skills checklist (updated within 1 year) required.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required.
• License and certifications must be uploaded with profile.

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Massachusetts RN license must be active and in hand at profile upload.

Additional Information

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
