Position Details

- Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Unit Information
- Unit Type: Medical Surgical
- Number of Beds: 18
- Staffing:
- 1 CNC
- 5 Full-Time RNs
- 2 Full-Time LPNs
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 RN, 2 LPNs, 2 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 RN, 2 LPNs, 2 PCTs
- Patient Ratios:
- Nursing: 1 RN to 6 patients
- Patient Care Technicians (PCTs): 1 to 9 patients
- Equipment Used: IV pumps, PCA pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), K pads
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Used on unit
Required Skills
- Must Have:
- Medication Administration
- Clinical Assessment Experience
- Preferred:
- Experience with NG tubes, feeding tubes, Foley catheters, surgical drains
- Wound care experience
- IV fluid and medication administration

Certifications & Licenses
- Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- License: Registered Nurse License
Work Environment & Policies
- Floating Areas: Medical Surgical and Inpatient Rehabilitation units
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; no on-call duties
- Personality Fit: Flexibility is important
