Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel Position)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Adult 64-bed hospital with a 12-bed Adult ICU and 14-bed Emergency Department (ED)
- Imaging department weekend staffing includes 1 MRI tech, 1 X-ray tech, 1 Ultrasound tech (Saturday only), and 1 CT tech
- Weekend CT shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM (coverage needed)
- Patient population primarily adult ED patients; some pediatric scans possible
- Adult inpatients as ordered
- Equipment: Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT
- EMR system: Meditech
- PACS: FUJI Synapse
Job Details
- Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Backfill)
- Typical procedures:
- CT Head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis
- CTA chest, neck, abdomen
- Occasional CTA cardiac studies
- CT lumbar/thoracic spine
- CT Head stroke protocol
- Must be able to back up X-ray tech if needed (e.g., when X-ray tech is in OR)
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications:
- KSBHA Radiology Tech License (Kansas State Board of Healing Arts)
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CT (higher value between 2 and 3 years applied)
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Preferred: Siemens scanner experience
