Travel RN - Neuro Surgical
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Details
- Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 (48 hours considered upon request)
- Weekend Hours: As needed; standard expectation of every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Call Requirements: None
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (3 months)
- Requested Time Off: Up to 5 days per 13-week period automatically approved; additional time off requires approval and must be made up
- Holiday Work: Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Unit Information
- Department: Medical Surgical Unit
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
- EMR System: EPIC
- Equipment: FIT test required on site
- Patient Population: Neuro-surgical patients including stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in specialty (Med Surg and Neuro Surgical inpatient acute care)
- Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required
- Skills:
- Willingness to occasionally float within scope
- Willingness to occasionally serve as Charge Nurse (training provided)
- Personality Fit: Team player, patient-focused
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions must be approved)
- Dress code: Black scrubs required
- No call requirements
- Professional accountability for patient care and coordination with other departments
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
