Travel RN Opportunity – Labor & Delivery

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Staffing: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
Documentation Systems: CPN, Meditech
Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 weekend shifts
- 1 call shift for RNs
- 2 call shifts for techs
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
Floating Policy: Travelers float first
Patient Experience: Shared decision making

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Advanced skills including:
- Care of laboring patients
- Care of newborns immediately after delivery
- Circulating and recovering C-section patients
Procedures performed on unit:
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- D&C (dilation and curettage)
- Cerclage
- Epidural anesthesia
- Tub labor

Certifications & Licenses Required

Registered Nurse License
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Dress Code

Scrubs not provided by hospital
Acceptable colors: Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray

Additional Notes

Unit includes RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs with FA certification
Emphasis on shared decision making and patient experience
Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
