Travel RN - CVICU
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Beds: 16
- Staff: 45 RNs
- Patient Ratio: 2:1 (2 patients per 1 RN)
- Shift Ratios:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC and 2:1 nurse to patient ratio
- Night Shift: 1 CNC and 2:1 nurse to patient ratio
- Equipment: GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, Art lines, Chest tubes, ventilators
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Critical Care (Adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any Critical Care specialty)
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years critical care experience
- Certifications:
- RN License
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- Skills Required:
- Ventilator experience
- Art line, Central line, Chest tube management
Preferred Qualifications
- CVICU specific experience
- CABG recovery
- CRRT
- Impella
- Meditech experience
- BSN degree
- CCRN certification

- Hemodynamic monitoring

- Arterial lines
- Chest tube management
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend Shifts: 2 weekend shifts biweekly
- On-call: None
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Floating Areas: Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, Cardiac PCU
- Personality Fit: Team player who works best with collaborative care
