Job Opportunity: Technologist (CT Scan)

Location: Mount Clemens, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary / Per Diem
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures.
• Set up, monitor, and operate complex CT equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients safely using proper lifting techniques and immobilization devices.
• Obtain patient identification, allergy information, and relevant medical history.
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as prescribed by Radiologist protocols.
• Capture and develop diagnostic images; maintain permanent records.
• Organize daily patient schedules in cooperation with support staff.
• Perform daily calibration and quality control of CT equipment; ensure proper maintenance and repairs.
• Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, and transfer.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist with emergency medical situations, including basic CPR.
• Follow safety standards to protect self and patients, per Michigan Department of Public Health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of supplies in the work environment.
• Train new personnel as needed.
• Assist Radiologists and other physicians with specialized radiological procedures.
• Review and record patient history and clinical data to support diagnosis.
• Maintain professional registry in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in CT technology (required).
• Experience with Phillips CT equipment (required).
• Traveler experience preferred.
• Michigan license verification required for nurses (LARA and Nursys).
• Skills checklist within one year preferred for non-nursing professionals.
• References not required.
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
• Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
• This is a per diem position with no guarantee of hours.
