Travel RN Opportunity - Richmond, Virginia
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

- Licensure: Must have an active Virginia or Compact RN license at submission
Unit Information
- Unit: 6th Floor, Front Telemetry, Med Surg, Trauma
- Number of Beds: 33
- Number of Staff: 55
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RNs, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RNs, 2 PCTs
- Patient Ratios: 5 to 6 patients per nurse
- Typical Procedures:
- Small Incision & Drainage (I&D)
- Peritoneal Dialysis
- Thoracentesis (infrequent)
- Equipment Used:
- EKG machines
- Code cart
- Welch Allyn vital signs machines
- Vascular Doppler
- Wound vacs
- Cultura Link interpreting services
- Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring during push medications (e.g., metoprolol)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Skills: Must pass Basic Rhythm test
- Preferred Experience: Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Personality Fit: High energy, positive attitude
