Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

• 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (4x12s)
• Night shifts
• Every other weekend required

License & Certification Requirements

• Wisconsin or Compact RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must have 2 supervisor references within the last year, including one from the most recent/current assignment

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills required
• Willingness to float to IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit/Stepdown) if needed

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Includes Social Security trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening required (agency to run for subcontractors)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start
• Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

Additional Documentation & Competencies

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Compliance checklist to be completed by agency representative
• Confidentiality statement to be signed prior to start
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blind testing if working in dialysis/kidney center
• Competency exams as applicable to specialty/profession
• Annual skills checklist required

Notes

• References: 2 professional references verified within 2 years; for inpatient RNs, one must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments
• Candidate clearance may be delayed if references are not completed at time of offer

This position requires a highly skilled ICU RN with strong CRRT experience, night shift availability, and compliance with extensive credentialing and health requirements.
