Travel RN - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

• Unit: Electrophysiology Lab (Cath/EP Lab)
• Beds:

  • 2 Cath labs
  • 2 EP labs
  • 1 hybrid lab
  • 10 bay intake and recovery area
  • New EP lab under construction
• Staffing: 6 total (5 full-time, 1 part-time, 1 open position)
• Shift: 10-hour shifts with occasional late nights
• Equipment: GE labs (new lab will have Philips equipment)
• EMR: Meditech (upgrading to Meditech Expanse by Q2 2025)

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: RN with Electrophysiology (EP) lab experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (EP lab)
• Skills:

  • EP lab experience is mandatory
  • Proficiency in all EP roles: scrub, circulating, and monitoring
• Preferred:

  • RCES certification
  • RN with EP experience

Job Responsibilities

• Circulate, scrub, and monitor in the EP lab
• Work late nights as required
• Flexible and knowledgeable in EP and critical care skills
• May float to Cath lab intake, recovery area, or Cath lab if experienced

Schedule

• No weekends, no holidays, no on-call
• Late nights required for EP lab shifts

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
