Registered Nurse - Medicine Specialty
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Description
Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex under general supervision.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage care for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; note changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Obtain and monitor patients' physiological data; observe and intervene as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications; initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care.
- Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Contract Length
Approximately 13 weeks
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
This position requires a professional nurse capable of delivering comprehensive patient care in a hospital environment with a focus on medicine specialty.
