Job Details
- Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical

Requirements
- Must have a nursing degree accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience.
- BLS certification (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable).
- Float capability required.
- Resume must include last 12 months of Epic experience (mandatory).
- No block scheduling; only up to 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed.
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays.
- Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at submission.
Credentials & Compliance (Must be current and valid)
Required for Submission
- Valid Driver's License or State ID.
- BLS Certification.
- Completed RN Submission Packet Checklist (signed by candidate and agency).
Required for Onboarding
- Active nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days of start.
- License/Certificate verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start).
- Fit Test for N95 masks (3M 1870+, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small) within 1 year.
- Pre-employment physical with health statement confirming ability to perform job functions.
- Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist completed within 1 year.
- Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days.
- MMR immunity (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations).
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series (signed declinations accepted).
- Influenza vaccine (required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval).
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results; no declinations.
- Varicella immunity (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations).
- Annual TB questionnaire (Summa form, signed and dated).
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide, OFAC, FACIS Level 3) within 90 days.
- OIG exclusion search within 90 days.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) search within 90 days.
- Third-party education verification.
- Social Security Card or Social Security Number confirmation.
Optional but Recommended
- Summa Pharmacology Exam.
- Summa Medical Surgical Exam.
- Summa Specialty Exam.
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation if applicable.
Additional Notes
- Travelers continuously on assignment with no breaks are not required to update annual health requirements.
- All required documentation must be current and compliant with facility policies.
- No declinations accepted for MMR, Varicella, and 2 Step PPD/IGRA.
- Medical or religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine considered on a case-by-case basis (fully vaccinated required prior to start).
- Candidates with more than 7 days of requested time off will be automatically rejected.
This position is ideal for experienced Medical/Surgical RNs with recent Epic experience, flexibility for float assignments, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
