Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT Nights)
Location: Coldwater, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift
- Shift Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Schedule: 6 shifts per pay period
- Weekend Call: Every 3rd weekend
- Must be licensed to work in Ohio
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Ohio state license (Primary Source Verification required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA required where applicable
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA required where applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required for ER
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - AAP required where applicable
- National Tech Certification verification for allied professionals (non-RN, LPN)
Background Checks & Documentation
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
- HHS/OIG check required
- Copy of highest degree/diploma or transcripts
- Fingerprinting (BCI and FBI) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Residency Declaration Form if working on a compact license
- Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried on assignment
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap immunization within 10 years
- Negative TB test (PPD or IGRA) within 1 year, updated annually; chest x-ray if prior positive test
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of immunity by titer or vaccination (2 doses or boosters as needed)
- Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccine series, titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Proof of immunity by titer or vaccination (2 doses or boosters as needed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year from SAMHSA-certified lab, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); no declinations accepted without approved exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination required (fully vaccinated before start); exemptions require facility approval
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Must be clean-shaven on first day for on-site fit mask testing
- Facility-specific COVID-19 exemption forms (medical and religious) must be completed and approved if applicable
- Flu exemption requests require documentation and approval by 11/1
- Radiation badge required for Cath Lab staff (not provided by agency for new candidates)
Competencies & Skills
- Unit-specific competency exam with passing score required, updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
- Core HIPAA training and orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
Work History & References
- Application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar specialty
- Two positive professional references required, including at least one from the most recent employer
- Agency references must verify work experience directly with previous employers
This position offers a structured night shift schedule in a community hospital setting with comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements to ensure quality patient care and safety.
