- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 22
- Number of Staff: 30
- Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, 0-2 sitters
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, 0-2 sitters
- Patient Ratios: Maximum 6:1
- Type of Equipment: Standard
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of acute med/surg/telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years neurosurgery or orthopedic nursing experience
Typical Procedures Performed
- Care of med/surg/telemetry, orthopedic, and neurosurgery patients
- IV insertions
- Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance
- Central line maintenance
