Position Details

• Unit: Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Population: Medically delicate and surgically complex adult patients including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
• Average Patient Load: 3 high acuity patients

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications & Skills:

  • ACLS certification required
  • Competency in advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
  • Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics
  • Skilled in managing arterial lines (a line), central venous pressure (CVP), external ventricular drains (EVD), orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols
  • Proficient with HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxypendent devices
• Experience: Nurses with large scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU experience preferred
• Additional Requirements: Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required; navy blue scrubs required

• Duration: 13 weeks
