Job Summary

• Serve as a clinic RN maintaining patient and provider flow.
• Provide nursing coverage in the urology clinic.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures within the clinic setting.
• Maintain patient medical records and documentation.
• Collect and prepare specimens.
• Administer medications as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program or LPN.
• Current nursing license in the state of Iowa.
• Preferred: 3 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care settings.
• Preferred experience in acute care and/or home health nursing for cardiac or diabetic patients, phone triage, ER triage, or MD office triage with combined adult/pediatric experience.
• Strong nursing process skills and patient service orientation.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required; new employees must certify within 3 months of hire.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and helpful personality.
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Team player.
• Ability to think, converse, and type simultaneously with excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic PC skills and comfort with Windows OS.
• Membership in a professional organization or specialty certification is highly desired.
