Travel RN ICU Position - Wichita, Kansas
Job Details
- Specialty: RN ICU

- Schedule: Every other weekend, no call
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Credentials and Certifications
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NIH Certification (updated yearly for Group A, every 2 years for Groups B-F)
- CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course)
- Optional: CPI/MOAB High Risk On-Site Portion (completed at orientation)
Licenses and Verifications
- Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start (submit with board documents)
- License/Certificate Verification (submit prior to start)
- Driver's License/State ID (must be current and match address requirements)
Testing and Checklists
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out (test results and signed attestation required)
- Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Color Vision Test (updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score, updated yearly)
- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated as per latest edition)
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip (pre-hire modules for non-allied positions)
Health and Immunizations
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test: Required annually; preferred prior to start (PAPR not completed onsite)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required within 1 year and 30 days prior to start; TB Questionnaire updated annually
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire (optional)
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
Professional Requirements
- Resume/Profile submission
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others (updated annually)
- EPLS check within 90 days prior to start (rerun if break in service > 90 days)
- Education Verification within 90 days prior to start (diplomas not accepted, official transcripts if verification fails)
- Employment Verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
- Confirmation of Assignment documentation (updated with each extension)
Additional Notes
- Some checklists and attestations must be completed prior to or at onboarding.
- Certain trainings and exams allow only two attempts to pass.
- On-site portions of some trainings are completed during orientation.
- Compliance with all credentialing and health requirements is mandatory for assignment clearance.
