Job Opportunity: RN-ICU Float Pool (12N Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, holistic care to patients and families, promoting progress toward self-identified goals.
• Perform nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe and therapeutic care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and seek additional resources for complex or high-risk clinical situations.
• Serve as patient and family advocate to ensure excellent and satisfying care.
• Deliver age-specific and culturally appropriate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Document assessment data, plans of care, patient responses, and educational plans according to guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans for patients and families, addressing learning needs and barriers.
• Recognize communication barriers and engage interdisciplinary expertise to establish therapeutic relationships.
• Delegate and assign care tasks within scope and competency of healthcare team members.
• Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team and ancillary staff to optimize patient care and workflow.

Additional Duties

• Assess and prioritize patient and family needs and goals.
• Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary communication.
• Use adult-learning theory to evaluate and revise patient/family education plans.
• Advocate for patient and family participation in decision-making and uphold their rights.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• CPR Certification
