    Description

    Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

    Location: Tracy, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Requirements

    • Valid California RN License
    • Certifications:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
      • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • Every other weekend availability required

    Background Check Requirements

    • 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including:
      • Social Security Trace with all aliases
      • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
      • Nationwide Sex Offender Search (within 90 days of start)
      • Education verification (highest level achieved, except if high school)
      • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
      • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
      • Motor Vehicle Report if applicable (driving positions only)
    • Transcript/Diploma verification if education verification unsuccessful
    • Pending background check attestation may be required if background is delayed (subject to facility approval)

    Certifications & Verifications

    • State License: Copy and primary source online verification within 30 days of start
    • NURSYS Verification for RN within 30 days of start
    • NIH Stroke Certification (verify by position)
    • Other certifications may be required depending on position (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, EFM, NRP, CPI, MAB)
    • IV Certification may be required for some allied roles
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training can be completed onsite during orientation if needed

    Competency Exams

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
    • Competency Exam with minimum passing score of 80% (or Angoff score if higher)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam may be required for some units

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must state "cleared for work")
    • Fit Mask Test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
    • Immunizations and/or titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - proof of immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal Flu Vaccination during flu season (11/1 - 4/30) or signed declination
    • Drug Screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
    • Color Blind Exam (in-person, if applicable)
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance, renewed annually (not required for some roles)

    Facility Specific Documents & Policies

    • Must review and sign:

      • Vendor Training (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
      • Code of Conduct (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
      • Overpayment Refund Policy (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
      • Conditional Offer of Employment Attestation
      • General Regulatory Orientation for Contracted Workers
      • Dress Code Policy (review only)
      • Request for Religious Accommodation Form (if applicable)
      • TB Screening Questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
      • Epic Questionnaire (RN only, required for new candidates starting 11/3/2025 and onward)

    Employment History & References

    • Full 7 years of work history required on application, including city and state, with no gaps
    • Employment verification for up to 7 years required; gaps over 30 days must be explained
    • 2 professional references required for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates (within 3 years)
    • 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care candidates

    Additional Notes

    • Candidates with religious exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific accommodation forms and receive approval
    • Some certifications and requirements may vary by position; verify with assigned manager or clinical lead
    • Background checks and credential verifications have specific expiration and renewal timelines to maintain compliance
