Job Opportunity: RN Case Manager (Travel)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Specialty: RN Case Manager

Work Schedule & Assignment Details

  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend preferred
  • Floating: May be required to float between different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Notification will be provided before the shift if floating is required.

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licenses & Verifications

  • Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days prior to start)
  • Employment verification for the past 7 years (updated annually)
  • Professional references: At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment

Health & Immunizations

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit Test: Required annually; preferred prior to start
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Drug Screening & Testing

  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually or if break in service > 90 days
  • Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
  • Cerner Test-Out: Required training and test results

Onboarding & Competency Requirements

  • Ascension Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters
  • Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics completed within one year, updated yearly (minimum 80% score)
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
  • Ascension Nova StatStrip: Pre-hire modules for non-allied positions
  • Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional for onboarding)

Background & Legal Checks

  • Criminal Background Check: Includes SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check, updated annually
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
  • Name Change Documentation (if applicable)

Additional Notes

  • All required documents and verifications must be submitted as specified prior to or at the start of the assignment.
  • Floating assignments are based on operational needs and communicated in advance.
  • Compliance with all health, safety, and professional standards is mandatory.
