Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)


Job Description

  • Position in Emergency Room (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
  • Must be able to provide direct patient care in a trauma/emergency setting

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for ED nurses
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course): Required for ED nurses
  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course): Required
  • License/Certificate Verification: Must be current within 30 days of start date

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Fit Test
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • Influenza Vaccine or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of initiation required prior to start)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination proof or IgG titer
  • Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive (within last year for CT)
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
  • Trinity Respirator Evaluation with physician signature

Screening & Compliance Requirements

  • 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start, no THC)
  • Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years)
  • Employment Verification (last 7 years)
  • Education Verification (highest level of academic education)
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 30 days
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check within 30 days
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check within 30 days
  • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days
  • Trinity Code of Conduct Form signed
  • Trinity Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form signed
  • Trinity Confidentiality of Patient & Proprietary Information and System Security Agreement signed
  • Trinity Integrity and Audit Services Form signed shortly before start
  • Trinity I9 form completed by agency
  • Trinity System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start
  • Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing (completed within last year)
  • Trinity Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
  • Trinity Joint Commission CORE Exam (within last year)

Additional Notes

  • All certifications and verifications must be attached/scanned and uploaded to the credentialing system prior to or at onboarding.
  • Documentation must include front and back images of certification cards where applicable.
  • Compliance with all health, safety, and professional standards is mandatory for assignment start and continuation.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with trauma experience who meet the certification and compliance requirements listed above.
