CT Tech / X-Ray Tech Opportunity

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

A hospital in Eastern Nebraska is seeking a CT Tech / X-Ray Tech. This role requires BLS and ARRT-CT certification. The position includes rotational call responsibilities approximately 1 every 4 weekends and weekday call.

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT-CT (Certified CT Technologist)
• Experience: X-ray or CT experience preferred
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license required (used to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius)
• Other:

  • Must not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
  • Radiation badge provided by client

Equipment & Technology

• Required experience with GE VCT 64 slice and GE Revolution 128 slice CT scanners
• Familiarity with GE CT scanners or Epic EMR system
• PACS system: McKesson

Department & Work Environment

• Department includes:

  • MRI (2 rooms)
  • CT (4 rooms)
  • X-ray (3 rooms plus endoscopy, OR, and portable units)
  • Nuclear Medicine (2 rooms plus PET)
  • Ultrasound (3 rooms)
  • Interventional Radiology (2 rooms)
  • Mammography (3 rooms)
• Floating/coverage expected in CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and Emergency Department
• Imaging studies are varied

Scheduling & Shifts

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Weekend commitment every 3rd weekend
• Rotating weekday on-call required
• Holiday work required
• Schedule created by supervisor (no self-scheduling)
• 1-2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation required

Additional Notes

• Successful candidates are flexible, positive, and willing to learn and work in a dynamic environment
• Response time for call/standby is varied
• Return to work (RTO) required within 7 days or less from contract start; no additional RTO approvals
