Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a cardiovascular lab setting.
  • Address psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects related to the surgical environment.
  • Continuous communication with physicians regarding patient condition.
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
  • Assess procedure room and equipment readiness.
  • Obtain supplies for individual cases and support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
  • Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
  • Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • BSN preferred.
  • Active Missouri RN license required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certification required.
  • ACLS certification required upon start and must be maintained.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.

Required Credentials & Compliance for Onboarding

  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • Active RN license verified through Nursys.
    • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
    • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
    • DCI/BVP for Workplace Violence Prevention.
  • Testing & Exams:
    • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%).
    • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%).
    • Prime Core Competencies Exam.
    • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%).
  • Health & Immunizations:
    • TB Test within 1 year of start date.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (declinations not accepted at some locations).
    • Influenza vaccine or declination (required seasonally).
    • MMR vaccination or positive titer.
    • Varicella vaccination or immunity.
    • Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations).
    • COVID-19 vaccine and booster or declination (optional).
    • Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not done onsite).
    • Physical/Health Statement annually, must state clearance to work.
  • Background & Verification:
    • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date.
    • Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
    • Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search.
    • License/Certificate primary source verification within 30 days of start.
    • Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start.
    • Elder Abuse Registry (EDL) check as required by Missouri.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
    • Prime Agency Attestation completed after all credentials are uploaded.
    • Signed job description.
    • References and resume required for submission.

This position is ideal for an experienced RN with cardiovascular or critical care experience seeking a long-term assignment in a cardiovascular lab environment.
