Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Manassas, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Work Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Requires 1 year of current and strong experience
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, AART Certification
  • Virginia State License required
  • Travel experience highly preferred
  • Some EPIC experience needed
  • COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required
  • Fall Flu vaccination is required (exemptions must be pre-approved)

Required Certifications & Competencies

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or American Red Cross only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or American Red Cross only
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs within 1 year of start, renewed annually
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Required for all ER and Behavioral Health RNs, renewed annually
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication Test/Pharmacology (RNs only)
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG (specific RN units)
    • General Competency Exam for all travelers
  • Other Preferred Certifications: PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM (depending on unit)

Licensure

  • Valid Virginia State License required for applicable specialties (e.g., RRT, Radiologic Technologist, Surgical Tech)

Health & Compliance Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
  • Fit Mask (N95) within 1 year, renewed annually
  • Negative Qgold (QFT) TB test within 30 days of start (PPD and Tspot not accepted)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or declination form)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
  • COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred but not required

Documentation & Onboarding

  • Two professional references from the specialty/unit within 2 years
  • Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Background checks including criminal, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
  • Official transcripts or diplomas as applicable
  • Photo for badge (passport style, business attire) required before start
  • Contingent Worker Form and other facility-specific documents required

Additional Notes

  • Flu vaccination exemptions require facility approval and must be submitted on specific forms
  • Background checks must cover all locations lived/worked in the last 7 years
  • Drug screen must meet specific cutoff levels and include required substances
  • Fit testing for N95 masks is required unless PAPR is approved and scheduled onsite
